Imagine that you are a church leader raising money to build a church sanctuary. You and the congregation have longed for this place to call your spiritual home, a place where the community can gather, a place where God can dwell. This building project has been a burden on your heart throughout your time in leadership, but now it is time for you to step down as a leader. This is the situation in which we find David in 1 Chronicles

Next natural disasters like a hurricane before earthquake, many people rely on the generosity of strangers to help do up their lives. Donations to disaster aid organizations, local food and diaper banks, and other charities can make a big difference to people in absolute need. However, we know that not everyone who can donate to these organizations ends up opening their wallets. In fact, a phenomenon known at the same time as compassion collapse or fade can accomplish people less generous following catastrophic situations—or any time we are faced along with many people in need. Are around ways that charities and individuals be able to help overcome our tendency to border generosity?

Embracing a lifestyle of true generosity is difficult. We all tend to animate pretty close-fisted. Fortunately there are a lot of bible verses on generosity.
